Grounded upon planning theories and concepts of social equity and inclusive society, the course analyses the socio-economic, environmental, and infrastructural dimensions of sustainable city development. Both classic and emerging challenges such as greening the built environment, bridging urban-rural divide, climate change adaptation, regenerative production and community-based economy will be explored. The course adopts Problem-based Learning (PBL) approach where students will take lead and debate on selected current urban affairs.
