Mr. Wai Hin Wong graduated with a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in European Studies from the Hong Kong Baptist University in 2016. He then went to Germany to pursue his Master of Arts degree in Architectural and Cultural Heritage at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. He completed his studies in 2018 and his master thesis focuses on community participation in heritage management in Hong Kong. Prior to joining the Centre for Civil Society and Governance at HKU, he worked on several academic research projects, including a project on recording and researching Hong Kong’s neon signs and another on investigating the adoption of area-based heritage conservation in Hong Kong. He is currently a team member of the Policy for Sustainability Lab and supports the rural village conservation and revitalization project “Sustainable Villages for All Community based Conservation Management of Forest Village Ecosystem in Mui Tsz Lam and Kop Tong”.
