Alumni Profile

Do you think there is a clearer understanding now of how to integrate sustainability into someone’s career?

It’s not only one department that does reporting; the whole company have to implement sustainability, both the environmental and the social side of thinking, into their operations and their day-to-day business. This means that no matter if you’re in leadership or an execution team, you have to have certain knowledge and understanding in order to implement the action plan. I think all roles within a company will touch upon it now.

What are one or two key things you gained from the programme? How did it help you, and what impact did it have on you?

Learning the qualitative and the quantitative measures, learning how to use some tools, the frameworks, and how to visualize and make it presentable to various stakeholders. But also the network—the diversity of talent that I got to meet, to understand different industries and roles, and their points of view and perspectives on ESG and sustainability.

What are the most important qualities or skills of a leader when it comes to driving sustainable change within an organization and will this programme help us develop those skills.

The guest speakers that join the classes share a lot of scenarios of real case studies, which I think really inspired thinking and were examples of practical change that you can push in the business world and in the community. I think that is one of the biggest takeaways that I have from this programme.
