Staff Profile

Dr Eric Luk is a lecturer at the Centre for Civil Society and Governance in the Faculty of Social Sciences. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Economics) from SOAS, University of London, a Master of Business Administration from Hong Kong Metropolitan University. He received a Doctor of Business Administration from Hong Kong Baptist University. His doctoral research focuses on the role of external reviewers in the global sustainability-linked bond market. Dr Luk teaches a number of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses on corporate sustainability, sustainable and responsible investment, and sustainability disclosures.

 

Dr Luk has more than 20 years of professional experience in consulting firms, listed and non-listed companies in Hong Kong, China, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. He has been a member of Deloitte’s Global Sustainability Reporting Standards Expert Advisory Panel, which monitors new sustainability reporting and assurance standards and provides guidance materials to help practitioners interpret and apply them. In addition, he is a member of HKICPA’s S1 and S2 Implementation Platform Panel, a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant.
