The campsite has 9 large camping platforms (accommodating 2–4 people each) and 4 small camping platforms (accommodating 1–2 people each), with a maximum capacity of 30 campers per night.
Mobile phone and internet signals in Mui Tsz Lam and nearby areas may be unstable, and reception is not guaranteed. In case of emergency, please try dialling 999 / 112 on your mobile phone for assistance.
Wi-Fi is not available at the campsite, allowing campers to fully immerse themselves in nature.
Campers may bring their own ingredients and enjoy outdoor cooking at the campsite. Alternatively, meals are available at Lai Chi Wo (approximately 20 minutes on foot) and Kop Tong Village (approximately 15 minutes on foot).
Please note that the opening hours of village shops and eateries vary. Some only operate during afternoons on public holidays. Campers are advised to confirm opening arrangements in advance.
If the Hong Kong Observatory has issued a Yellow / Red / Black Rainstorm Warning Signal, or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 or above by 7AM on the check-in day, the booking for that day will be cancelled.
If the Hong Kong Observatory announces before 7AM that a Red / Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 or above is expected within the next few hours, staff from the Association for Sha Tau Kok Culture and Ecology will make the final decision at 7AM and notify participants accordingly.
Under the above circumstances, groups may apply once for rescheduling free of charge within seven days from the original booking date (the new booking must be within 6 months of the original date).
If rescheduling is not requested, 90% of the fees paid will be refunded (with 10% deducted as an administrative fee). Failure to respond within the specified period will be regarded as forfeiture of the refund arrangement.
If the Hong Kong Observatory issues a Very Hot Weather Warning or Cold Weather Warning by 7AM on the check-in day, the campsite will remain open as usual. This arrangement also applies if such warnings are issued after campers have checked in.
