The Programme completed a study to track changes in the sense of rural stewardship among major stakeholders and project participants. This includes unpacking the concept of stewardship and its application in the rural context, as well as creating an assessment framework to measure the sense of rural stewardship. This research followed several projects under the Programme, which aimed to educate and enhance participants’ understanding of and awareness about rural issues, and examined participants’ interactions and involvement in various activities.
The results of the study have informed the project team about the effectiveness of the project’s engagement activities. They also allow key actors in the Programme to understand and communicate the shared value created in the context of rural stewardship, thus improving cooperation among all parties.
