Time to invest in a sustainable future
From city planning to environmental protection, studies in sustainability are highly sought after and have become popular in both education and business fields
LOREM IPSUM
In today’s society, the need for comprehensive understanding of the sustainability challenges facing our organisations could not be greater. Leadership in this complex environment has become more important than ever. In order to prepare our leaders of today and tomorrow we offer a diverse set of courses that cover the academic and professional requirements to enable graduates to contribute substantively to the corporate sustainability agenda.
Few students are exposed to significant learning in a cross disciplinary manner or introduced to the sciences and their relationship to society and decision-making. This programme gives context to the learning about business practices, earth sciences and their link to societal issues. The courses give the learner the opportunity to travel back and forward in time in order to understand the spatial and temporal impacts of our decisions. The programme gives students exposure to expertise from various backgrounds and professions in the classroom as well as interacting on-site with local organisations.
There is a distinct advantage to seeking out a programme such as ours as it focusses in on sustainability specifically, putting it front and centre in the heart of the degree. It no longer makes sense to take a couple of courses in sustainability if the rest of the degree is made up of traditional classes that may be at odds with sustainability principles. This programme supports the development of professionals who can get things done rather than just know about sustainability issues that face organisations.
