MSocSc in Sustainability Leadership & Governance (SLG) Orientation 2026-27
Welcoming the 2026-27 Cohort: MSocSc in Sustainability Leadership & Governance (SLG) Orientation
On August 26, 2026, the Centre for Civil Society and Governance welcomed the 2026-27 cohort of the MSocSc in Sustainability Leadership & Governance (SLG) programme. The orientation provided a platform for incoming students to meet their peers and teachers while receiving practical information to help them prepare for the upcoming academic year.
The session commenced with welcoming remarks from the Programme Co-Directors, Dr. Vivian Chu and Dr. Winnie Law. As part of the introduction, Dr. Chu highlighted the core vision of the SLG programme, emphasizing our commitment to an agile, dynamic curriculum that continually evolves to match the latest global trends in sustainability and governance.
Students also had the opportunity to network directly with our esteemed teaching team. Adjunct Professors and lecturers—including Professor Jeanne Ng, Professor Agnes K Y Tai, Dr. Eric Luk, Ir. Sophia Lau, and Dr. Jessica Williams— engaged in discussions with the incoming students and encouraged them to reach out with any questions regarding their respective modules.
Looking to the future, we invited students to take a leadership role in forming a structured SLG alumni network. By taking steps toward a formal alumni association, we hope to foster lifelong connections, mentorship, and engagement between current students and graduates of the SLG community.
