This quick Self-check Tool is designed for the owners and senior management of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and startups headquartered in Hong Kong which are beginning to explore business sustainability or wishing to kick start the sustainability journey. It is an initial step for the respondents to better understand and evaluate their company’s performance against the successful business practices of sustainable value chain management, so as to take action on sustainable development.
With sustainable value chain management integral to business survival and growth nowadays (see Kick-starter Impact Toolkit for more information), this exercise is an opportunity for the top management of SMEs to reflect on how much work has been carried out to integrate sustainability into their businesses. While it takes about 40 minutes on average to complete the self-assessment, we strongly encourage the users to take the time and seek information from relevant colleagues to provide accurate and honest responses, in order to get the most out of this exercise.
The Tool consists of 59 questions under the framework of SME sustainability in value chain, comprising of the five Business Sustainability Dimensions.
