Learning Programme

The Learning Programme is a nurturing process to identify, inspire, and train a corps of “sustainability catalyzers” as social entrepreneurs in different sustainability domains. Through this learning process, sustainability catalyzers will be able to navigate and acquire solid knowledge for turning and scaling innovative solutions in social entrepreneurship, and gain the skills for building up startup and scaling up impacts for innovations.

The Learning Programme is open to all on a quota basis. Ranging from one-hour classroom learning to half-day visit, the Learning Programme will be conducted in the format of in-class activities, experiential learning and site visits. Following major topics will be covered in the Learning Programme:

  • Knowledge on Sustainability
  • Commoning and Collaboration
  • Design Thinking Process
  • Raising Finance and Pitching to Investors
  • Entrepreneurship and Business Model Development
  • Green Accounting
  • Corporate Sustainability
  • Social Impact Assessment

Active participants (a minimum of 60% attendance) who have completed the learning modules will be assessed and, if deemed having made satisfactory progress, invited to attend the Design Thinking Workshops as a continued incubation experience. Participants’ performance in these activities will provide the basis for the project team to identify committed and qualified practitioners who are allowed to proceed to the Design Thinking for Innovation.
