Sustainable Solidarity Impact Platform (SSIP)
Project Team
Leader: Castro Luisa Tan (AIRI Fellow)
Members: Lau Ho Yung Francis (AIRI Associate Fellow), Md Abdullah Al Mamun (AIRI Associate Fellow)
Background and Introduction
SSIP aims to connect social impact leaders and sustainable living practitioners in Hong Kong, linking them to international networks and programmes. Through an online platform, it provides an e-directory, a calendar for events, and a repository of research and information to promote best practices and reduce duplication of efforts. SSIP will enable key players such as the Hong Kong Social Enterprise Summit (SES), the General Chamber of Social Enterprises (GCSE) and the Social Enterprise Business Centre (SEBC) to connect more closely with private initiatives like Dream Impact and more importantly, primary producers in agriculture, fisheries as well as other secondary industries with their cooperatives. SSIP will streamline efforts and provide timely support to reduce business failures.
