The AIRI Urban-Rural Sustainability Fellowship 2022-23 has trained over 30 Fellows from Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan and Thailand through online and offline training, equipping them to promote sustainable development in rural areas. Upon the completion of the four training modules and the Hackathon of the Fellowship, the Fellows were tasked to create an action proposal to address the rural sustainability challenges and enhance community resilience with a holistic and innovative approach. Below are the brief summaries of their final proposals. We hope this repository of sustainability solutions will inform and inspire future rural sustainability initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region.
