阿泰是一位植物學博士,在植物及其脅迫反應方面,積累了一定的研究經驗。畢業之後,透過和學生、義工以及社區持份者的合作,他致力以共同創造的方式為相對落後的國家/地區開發合適的解難方案。以不同的SDGs(永續發展目標)作為切入點,利用課堂和實習,結合相關的設計工作坊,對學生進行沉浸式教學,以讓學生掌握如何利用切合實際的解難方案為欠發達地區解決實際問題。
2022年,阿泰在CCSG開始了一個新的里程。在中心,他協同各位同事和持份者,運用創新思維與實踐,為香港以及亞太地區的農村活化出一分力。阿泰熱衷於運用適度技術和以人為本的設計思維,催化合作和為農村社區帶來新氣象。他深信在不久的將來,可以通過社區經濟發展並同時平衡環境保育,來達致社會的可持續發展。另外,他夥拍著一班熱心的農夫,以荔枝窩為基地,開發適合本地農業生態和具有應用價值的新式農作物。
