朱可兒博士在倫敦大學學院取得地理系學士及碩士學位後，在香港大學修讀哲學博士學位。她的博士論文旨在分析大珠三角內區域性環境保護合作的問題。朱博士現時為香港大學公民社會與治理研究中心講師，她的研究圍繞永續發展的議題，包括相關的政策，治理模式及影響評估。除了研究以外，她亦有教授多個與環保政策及永續發展相關的科目。
