Miss Yiu graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2007 with a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Geography and Resource Management. She completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Education Programme in 2008, majoring in secondary school Geography education. After joining The University of Hong Kong in 2009, she has been involved in a number of research and consultancy projects on public engagement, sustainable development and education for nature conservation and environmental sustainability. She completed the Degree of Master of Philosophy in Social Sciences at The University of Hong Kong in 2015 and her M.Phil. thesis focuses on education for sustainable development in Hong Kong. She is now involved in the rural revitalization project of the Policy for Sustainability Lab, mainly responsible for sustainability related education programmes, project publications, preservation of local history and culture, and award applications.
